Robert Percy, Composer
During the 2006-2007 season, LCS worked with Robert Percy as part of the 'Adopt-a-Composer' scheme.
Formerly a Draughtsman and then a Jazz Guitarist, Robert completed his doctoral studies in composition with Rhian Samuel at City University before taking up a two-year City University Research Fellowship in August 2004. In 1999, he participated in the International Course for Professional Choreographers and Composers at Breton Hall, and in February 2000 bodies.notes, a collaboration with choreographer Julia Hole, was performed at the Place Theatre, London.
Other performances include Morton's Fork (City University Symphony Orchestra, St. John's, Smith's Square); Arpeggio Piece for Voices (premiered at the 2003 International Choir Gathering in Bergen, Norway); and Everything is Permitted (City University, 2004), which was written for cellist Ben Trigg.
